About Work Contact

Laura Preston works in contemporary art at the intersection of editorial and curatorial practice. Her background spans art-historical research, critical art writing, exhibition-making and art publishing, with experience at institutions including Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin; documenta 14, Kassel and Athens; Portikus, Frankfurt am Main; and Te Pātaka Toi Adam Art Gallery, Wellington.

She supports artists and institutions with conceptualising projects, mediating the complexities of the artwork, and producing high-quality, context-sensitive writing which is clear and accessible. She is particularly interested in collaborating on cross-cultural projects that give voice to marginalised artists and their histories.
